Telemedicine

What is telemedicine?

According to the American Telemedicine Association (ATA), telehealth (or telemedicine) is defined as technology-enabled health and care management that extends beyond capacity and access. In other words, it’s healthcare that can be provided through technology that overcomes certain limitations, like the inability to receive care face-to-face, for example. While telehealth has been around for a long time, it has recently grown in popularity during the emergence of COVID-19.

How can we still help you?

You don’t have to see us in-person to see the benefits of our treatments. We utilize the entirety of Traditional Chinese Medicine, not just acupuncture. We can treat you by providing:

-Body and Ear Acupressure guidance

-Meditation techniques

-Dietary & Nutritional advice

-Herbal supplement advice and prescriptions

-Exercise suggestions

-Lifestyle recommendations

-Stress & Anxiety Management

We can help with many conditions via telemedicine. Because of the current state we are in due to COVID-19, you may be experiencing a spike in anxiety, stress, sleeplessness and digestive issues — these are all things I can help with. Plus, as spring continues to bloom, you may be experiencing allergy, cold and flu symptoms, which we can also work on.

How do you book a telemedicine appointment?

You book a telemedicine appointment through our booking page just like normal.

What happens during a telemedicine appointment?

For a telemedicine appointment, you will need a computer or smartphone with camera capabilities and internet access. When your appointment is confirmed, you will be given a video chat link that will allow you to connect with your practitioner once it’s time for your appointment.

During your appointment, your practitioner will be ready to listen to your health concerns and possibly look at your area(s) of trouble, just like a normal in-person appointment. Once we have an idea of what’s bothering you, we can provide you with our healing recommendations.

Since we are not doing any hands-on or needling during this appointment, you can expect it to be shorter than a normal visit to our clinic. Typically, our telemedicine appointments last between 15-30 minutes.

Pricing and Payment

We know this is a difficult time for a lot of people right now for a variety of reasons, including financially. We don’t want you to have to choose between your budget and your health, so with telehealth appointments we have budget friendly options:

15 minutes: $25

30 minutes: $50

60 minutes: $100

Payment will be taken at the conclusion of your appointment, via an invoice sent to your email.

Is telemedicine safe?

Yes! Telemedicine is designed to help patients who cannot see a medical care provider in-person for whatever reason. Patients can still receive high-caliber care from their practitioner that will help improve their health.
