Facial Acupuncture

Facial Acupuncture treatments here at Rhoads to Health are deeply rooted in bringing balance from within to express your inner beauty on the outside. • Sinus disorders

  • Neuropathies

  • Stroke recovery

Where are the needles placed?

Since every Facial Acupuncture treatment is rooted in treating the internal imbalances of your body, we will start the treatments off by balancing the body using body points (commonly on the arms and legs). Then we will place a few specially designed facial needles locally on the face in the target areas. It is uncommon for our style of treatments to use more than 5 needles locally on the face. Each treatment is customized to the individual and your specific needs.

When will I see results?

Every case is different since we are working with unique underlying conditions, different starting points and different desired results. It is common for patients to notice changes within the typical 10 visit recommended treatment plan. Facial Acupuncture is more effective when done in a series of treatments. This is an organic process and treatments have a cumulative effect over time.

How many visits?

Typically we recommend our 10 visit Facial Care Plan. Twice a week treatments for five weeks is what we have found delivers the best results. The results are greater when building with a series of treatments creating a cumulative effect.

Can we treat multiple areas at once?

Typically we work locally on one target area at a time to achieve the best results. If you have more than one area of concern, we will choose the priority area to treat first. Keep in mind that every treatment we are addressing the overall wellbeing and balance of your body. Even if a needle is not used in a specific local area, doesn’t mean we are not treating it through other points!

Who should not get Facial Acupuncture:

  • If you bruise easily or are taking blood thinning medications

  • If you have experience severe migraines in the last 3 months

  • If you experience high blood pressure (we would want to control that before thinking about Facial Acupuncture)

  • During pregnancy, the focus of treatments would be focused on using your precious qi and blood to support mom and baby. Typically Facial Acupuncture is not recommended, unless treating a specific disorder of the face.

  • Botox, fillers, injections: Typically we wait 6 months to treat in the same areas where someone has received injections.

If you are experiencing other underlying medical conditions, those conditions may need to be treated first before moving on to Facial Acupuncture treatments. Your overall wellness and health will always take priority in each treatment!
